USA Beauty Haul

Hello again my Internet lovelies,
So today is the start of a very exciting series of blogposts from my three week road trip around America and Canada! I have shot so much amazing content including a New York travel guide all using my new Olympus Pen EPL-7 *squeals* so stay tuned lovelies.

Onto todays subject of conversation, the all important American beauty haul. Now I feel like I should throw a little disclaimer out there, I realise this is a ridiculous amount of makeup but I like to think of it as: some people collect stamps, I collect lipstcks. Also I saved up for so long for this trip and I anticipated the damage that was going to be done.

So I have bits from Sephora (of course), the drugstore (the american boots), Rickys NYC (A Beauty supply store), and a CCO (Cosmetic company outlet) so grab yourself a cuppa and have a scroll. Also Ive linked everything so if you just click the name of the product you will be able to purchase it to save you going all the way to America for them.

First up, Sephora aka the beauty mecca of the world. I went to the Times square store and it was a moving experience. All drama aside it was very overwhelming seeing all those amazing makeup brands in one place. If you ever go to sephora I would recommend making a list and sticking to it otherwise you could seriously stray off course and your wallet will pay bigtime for the detour!

At the top of my list was the famous Kat von D everlasting liquid lipstick in the shade Lolita. This is a really unique brown toned pink shade Ive only worn it once so i cant really give you any feedback yet but look at that packaging. Just a sidenote if you want this shade It is hard to get hold of, I went to 3 different sephoras for this baby.

Next up is probably my favourite item I purchased in Sephora. I'm sure your sick of seeing this all over your social media sites because its brand new and again so hard to get hold of but I mean look it it!?! In case you didnt know the palette is the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette and it is full of warm toned shades and Im obsessed with it.

continuing the Anastasia Beverly Hills trend, I got the infamous contour kit in the shade light to medium, again I mainly purchased this for the packaging but I am excited for it to hopefully give me cheekbones.

Just to follow the trend of me buying hyped about products I got the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer in the shade Blonde.

then just as I was in line to pay I got sucked in by the aisle of doom aka the aisle full of minis and I couldnt leave this pretty little nars creamy radiant concealer (which is actually amazing by the way).

Onto a few drugstore products I picked up in CVS.
Firstly an elf concealer brush which im going to use for packing on eyeshadow to the centre of the lid.

then an eos lip balm in sweet mint (mostly because of the cool packaging).

Then I ran out ouf foundation and I got way too stressed trying to pick a foundation at sephora I picked up the covergirl ready set gorgeous foundation in the shade 105. I mostly got this because it was oil free and the humidity in America was no joke so that sounded perfect. I have to say for the pricepoint I was very impressed P.S covergirl is the same as max factor in Ireland so you could probably find the same foundation here.

While I was browsing in CVS which is also amazing, its like boots on steroids! I came accross the l'oreal infallible eyeshadows that everyone goes on about in the shade amber rush because you cant get them here and they are absolutely beautiful.

Up next I popped into Rickys NYC the beauty supply store whilst I was in New york and I picked up some new Brushes from Morphe as ive heard such amazing things and I was seriously in need of some new brushes.

Finally I picked up a few bits from the CCO in Woodbury Commons premium outlets. Now a CCO is a Cosmetic company Outlet which esentially sells high end makeup products that are overstock or discontinued stock at a discount of 30% of more which as you can imagine excited me greatly. The first stand I headed for was MAC where to my delight I found the rose gold pigment set that was no longer in stores as it was in the object of affection collection that launched in November. This set worked out at 28 dollars for the 4 pigments which was well priced considering how little you have to use of pigments because as you guessed they are insanely pigmented.

They also do a deal whereby you buy an Estee Lauder makeup bag and fill it up with 5 samples, also 5 packet samples counted as one full sample so I took full advantage of that. The mini Bobbi Brown faceblender brush alone is worth that price!

and last but not least I thought I would get something to take care of my skin that im putting all of this makeup on. I got the clinique dramatically different moisturing gel again because this sounded refreshing during that humidity.

And thats everything, thanks for your patience if you reached the end and please let me know some more american makeup I should try next time I go stateside!

Love Lisa xo
