Hello again my internet lovelies,
So the last few weeks have been crazy, in fact this past year has been crazy! Since I created this little corner of the internet it has brought me so much joy and so many opportunities. Having my own corner of the internet has been invaluable and constantly comforting, knowing I have a creative outlet that is available to me at any time is truly incredible . I want to thank anyone who has ever taken the time to read anything Ive written or like anything I've posted, There may not be that many of you but nevertheless I am eternally grateful for your support and your patience with the infrequent posts I've crammed in over the past year!
As I leave school behind and I embark on college, I embark on a new chapter in my life and I hope you guys come along for the ride,

Sandals & Sun - A Greek OOTD

Hello again my internet lovelies,
So I recently arrived home from the beautiful Greek Island of Crete and I am sad to be home to say the least. In order to beat the holiday blues I am reliving it through this post. Considering I spent most of my holiday in or by the pool there wasn't much blog worthy fashion. This outfit was from one of the rare days we left the pool and went to.....the beach (So adventurous I know). This outfit is very much Greek inspired and I could've broken into full-on Mamma Mia mode at any given moment.

OOTD- Floral Friday

Hello again internet friends,
So recently I attended the Lya Solis AW 2015 show in the beautiful Westin hotel with my friends Rachel Farrell from the blog ohheythererachel and Laura Murphy (pictured below).

Outfit wise I decided dressy casual was the way to go. I paired this topshop floral dress with these subtle statement flavia tights from wolford (http://www.wolfordshop.co.uk/ ). I would highly recommend these tights if you are looking for comfortable and high-quality tights that come in a range of unique designs. I then accented the outfit with this bargain bag from forever 21 that I picked up in their sale for just €10!
Dress - Topshop
Bag - Forever 21
Shoes - New Look
(Items marked with * have been sent to me to review but all opinions are my own)

Whats your go to dressy casual outfit?

OOTD - Pop of Pink

Ladies (and possibly gentlemen), I am writing this as a free woman. Yes, you read right I am free of all leaving cert exams and secondary school forever! This means a lot more free time and therefore a lot more blogging and I cannot wait to see what this summer holds for my little blog.

Onto business, I recently attended the exclusive launch of "The Tan" By the 2 Jenns with my fabulous friend Rachel from Ohheythererachel . Evidently and coincidently I ended up matching the tan bottle with its black bottle and pink logo!

In all seriousness I am totally on board with the pop of colour trend and no matter what outfit you are wearing, adding some colour can really spice it up for the better. This neon pink shirt from penneys was the perfect addition to my all black attire and really made it stand out!

Hat - h&m
Necklace - Vintage

Best of the Bunch: April

Well hello again friends,
So a lot has happened since I last talked you, lets catch up:
1. Im now officially an adult! I turned 18 on the 15th of April and needless to say that was really the highlight of my month.
2. I had two leaving cert oral exams in Irish and french which basically meant I was trying to become a fluent speaker in both of those languages for a 10 mintute speaking exam (it was very stressful to say the least but i survived unscaved).
3. I just want to thank you guys for all of the positive feedback on my last post on positivity (check it out here), It was a little weird opening up like that to the internet but I loved that style of writing and I can feel more lifestyle posts coming in the future...

Now that were caught up, lets get to business. April was a month of great discovery in the world of beauty I got the chance to try a lot of new products, some of them lovely birthday presents and some of them just impulse buys from boots (dont judge me...we all do it). Heres the best of the bunch from the month of april!

My first favourite is one close to my heart, any make up lover knows the feeling of excitement when you recieve a bag from MAC, only good things can come out of it! And needless to say, great things did come of that bag. My brother kindly got me the MAC lipstick in the shade "Velvet Teddy" for my birthday. This nude MAC lipstick is a bestseller since Kylie Jenner apparently uses it, and we all know the fascination with Kylie Jenners volumptuous lips. I was highly sceptical of all of the hype but honestly I was pleasantly surprised. The colour is a perfect your lips but better colour (cliche I know but that is the best way to describe it). The formula is creamy and easily applied but sightly drying, this is expected with a matte lipstick. Overall it is the perfect lipstick to start off my Mac collection and I can tell this is the start of a dangerous journey for my wallet!

Onto the skin favorites, with all of the great times in April there has also been some severe stress which really took its toll on my skin! The new Rimmel Lasting Finish 25hr Nude foundation has been an absolute lifesaver in making my face look half decent this month. It is very long lasting but I would say 25 hours is a bit of an exaggeration. It has a satin finish and I can go a good few hours wihtout powdering my combination skin which is a big bonus. This is around €7 from boots so I would highly recommend trying it out for yourself.

Next up we have a blogger favourite the Boots botanics radiance balm from their all bright range. I picked this up on an impulsive boots trip on offer for 3.99 and I wasnt expecting great things from that price point, but wow was I wrong. This balm acts like an illuminator under makeup and even without makeup to give your face a youthful glow no matter how many hours of sleep youve had! I have really fallen in love with this product and it is a perfect dupe for the MAC strobe cream for about a quarter of the price, go get yourself to Boots ASAP.

keeping with the glowy product theme, I picked up the Maybelline colour tattoo in the shade "Eternal Gold" on that same impulsive boots trip. This is a great base for underneath a golden smoky eye especially on the inner corners of the eyes to attract light to the eye and make you look more awake. It is long lasting but I would still apply an eyelid primer if you have oily eyelids like me.

The next beauty favourite is not one of the makeup variety, but a perfume. I know I never usually talk about perfumes but the My NY perfume from DKNY was another very generous birthday gift from my parents and wow I am short of drowning myself in the scent everyday I love it so much! The scent has the usual fruity floral scents I go for in perfumes but it has a slightly more sophisticated undertone which is appropriate given im an adult now (at least if your not mature you can smell like you are).

Last but not least, as the sun has emerged a few times in the month of april I have had to invest in a new pair of sunglasses. For the little amount of sun we get in Ireland I wasnt willing to invest in a designer pair, so I headed to Penneys and found these matte rimmed, slightly cat-eye frames that only set me back €2!

Hope you enjoyed seeing the best of the bunch for the month of April,
What were your favourites from the month of april?

Positivity

So today I thought I would change it up a bit from my usual posts. As much as I love writing posts about fashion and beauty, those posts can be a bit impersonal. I would love to connect more with my readers so I'm going to start doing more lifestyle posts the first one being positivity.

Positivity is a subject I feel very strongly about and I think its time I share my thoughts(you might want to grab a cuppa were going to be here for a while!). I'm not here to preach to you about how to be happy all the time because trust me I am far from it. I am here however, to tell you how to think in a more positive frame of mind.

Basically the universe is made up of energy, both positive and negative and all of the events that occur in the universe happen as a result of this energy this concept is called the law of attraction (Its sounds crazy I know, please bare with me). Have you ever wondered why good things happen to good people? Hint hint the answer is positive energy. Have you ever wondered why "karma" comes back to those who do bad things? Hint hint the answer is negative energy. If you radiate positive or negative energy you attract positive and negative occurances into your life. To sum it up simply your thoughts become your reality.

When I first thought about this concept I was just as sceptical as you are now believe me. I promise you that as soon as you start to approach a situation with postive energy you will notice a completely different outcome. For example if you do a test and you fully believe you are going to fail, you will fail, but if you fully believe in yourself and your abilities the chances are you will do a lot better on that test.

You might be wondering if I have completely lost it by now but I assure you I am not alone on this! I was inspired to write this post after watching a youtube video about a year ago on positivity by Meghan Hughes from the channel MissMeghanMakeup on youtube. I was at quite the opposite of a positive place in my life at that point and she helped me find the positive in my situation and many others to follow. She recommended a docummentary called "The Secret" on Netflix (It is also a book). After watching that docummentary I can honestly say my life as changed for the better. I understand I am throwing a lot of bold statements at you right now, but if you watch this docummentary and understand the law of attraction you will start to notice it working all around you!

I'm not saying that once you think happy thoughts and only happy thoughts all the time your life will be peachy, it doesnt work like that. What im saying is that once you start to apply the law of attraction to your life you will gradually become more aware of your surroundings and the effect they are having on you.

I recommend setting yourself happiness goals. Start off by smiling more, even if you are having the worst day imaginable if you can manage to smile I guarantee your day will become a lot better. From there you can start setting physical goals. In order to acheive these goals you need to 100% believe you can acheive them, you have to feel the feelings you would feel if you acheived this goal and trust me this goal will materialise for you. In order to apply this concept to your life you have to 100% believe in it, there are no half hearted attempts here people! Think about everything that will happen in that happy moment your striving for and strive for it :)

I'm not telling you that you have to believe me and you could think im completely cracked up but thats ok! I urge you to at least watch Meghans video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r3KiQHOhVG4) or watch/read "The secret" on Netflix and form your own opinion on the subject, what do you have to lose? The search for happiness is only a gaining experience and its completely worthwhile. If you have made it this far I am giving you a virtual gold star and I encourage you to leave any feedback you have in the comments below I love hearing peoples opinions on this subject because as you can tell I am very passionate about it!

Thank you for listening to my ramblings and please let me know if you would like to hear more of them?

OOTD - Classy Casual

OOTD - Classy Casual

I put together this ensemble to give you guys some fashion inspiration for that event that could be both classy and casual. I decided to mix both of these styles by pairing the ultra casual ripped jeans with a classy pin-striped shirt and a blazer style jacket. The accessories also mix these styles with the casual slouchy bag paired with the structured hat and heeled boots. Its hard to find that balance between overdressed and underdressed but I think this outfit strikes that balance!

Hat - H&M
Jacket - River Island
Shirt - Zara
Belt - Caris Closet
Jeans - Topshop
Boots - Bank
Bag - Local Boutique

Review: Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze Gradual Tan

So I dont know about you but the winter has really taken its toll on my skin. I was craving a moisturizer with a hint of colour to reverse the drying effects of that pesky winter weather.
I found that and more in the Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze gradual tan.

It is essentially a tinted body moisturiser but what makes it unique is its streak - free abilities. I just applied it generously like I would my regular moisturiser with no great care and left it overnight to find a beautiful streak - free glow the morning after! In terms of colour the product does what it says on the tin really, the colour is a light cocoa brown and thankfully no orange in sight!

Cocoa Brown kindly sent me this a few months ago to review and my skin never really needed it until now. I wouldnt recommend a product to you guys unless I really loved it myself and this definately has the Lisa Love seal of approval. Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze gradual tan is available from most pharmacies and penneys stores around Ireland and are constantly growing so keep an eye out!

Would you like to see a post on my other winter skin wonders?

Review: Soap & Glory Archery Brow pencil

Review: The Soap & Glory Archery Brow Pencil

So I have a neverending battle with my eyebrows, they just never seem to look great and they are seriously high - maintenence. Any blonde - browed girls will understand my battle because trying to find brow products for blonde hair at an affordable price is a seemingly impossible task....until now.

I recently brought the hunt to boots where I found the soap and glory brow tint and precision archery pencil, I swatched it and I swear I heard the heavens sing. The colour is not too ornage or ashy but just PERFECT. After putting the pencil to the test I was delighted to see it actually really works.

The pencil is dual - ended with an extremely thin felt tip on one end and a waxy pencil on the other which together make the perfect pair. It is easy to apply and long lasting too. I would highly recommend this pencil for us blonde girls in particular but a friend of mine swear by it and she is brunette!

Top : Pencil
Bottom : Felt tip

P.S apologies fot the rip in the packaging I was evidently eager to open it!

Is there any brow products you cant live without?
