Brand Spotlight: Maybelline New York

This weeks Brand focus spotlight is a bright one ladies and gents! Maybelline New York is the treasure trove of drugstore makeup and some of my maybelline must haves are ones i couldnt live without (bold statement i know) . Maybelline has everything you could want from a makeup brand and more for an unbeatable price and i can honestly say i have never been dissapointed by a Maybelline product......I swear im not sponsered just a big fan.
Read about some of my favourite below,

First up has to be the product made my brow game so much stronger: The Maybelline brow drama!  Basically it sets your eyebows adds a hint of colour and generally makes them look so much better, Trust me you need this in your life! Ive tried the benefit gimme brow which has recieved a lot more hype than this and they are quite similar seeing as they are dramatically diffferent in price!

Next up is a much loved Maybelline product and i am honestly not surprised! The Falsies volume express mascara is no joke people, It really does what is says on the tin. This mascara brings my lashes from drab to fab with one coat and keeps them somewhat curled for hours on end!

Continuing with the eye product favourites, I have fallen for another well loved Maybelline product: The Maybelline Lsting drama eye studio gel eyeliner! I have been transformed from my liquid liner ways with this one, Gel looks and lasts so much better i have to say. This pot of goodness is comparable with any other high end gel liner, and once you get the hang of it there is no difference!

Last but certainly not least we have an exciting new release from Maybelline! Their much anticipated colour elixirs have been on American shores for a while now, but us irish gals have only got our hands on them recently, Let me tell you the excitment was real when i spotted these well packaged gems. I am happy to report, apart from looking good they are actually a great product! The formula is more like a liquid lipstick than a lip gloss and great news girls...no stickyness whatsoever! I have the shade rasberry rhapsody which is berry beautiful (see what i did there) and can be seen in my most recent debutante Ball blog post!

Hope you enjoyed a little medley of my Maybelline must haves, now go treat yourself...........
because your worth it!

What are your favourite Maybelline Products?

Wednesday Wishlist

Wednesday wishlist

This weeks wednesday wishlist is definately one full of transitional pieces from Summer to Autumn because lets be honest i really dont want to let summer go!

I was a big fan of pastels for S/S 14 so i wanted to keep that trend going with the mint converse, they can add a hint of colour to an otherwise plain outfit!

Fashion - wise i am also loving the slouchy jumbers at the moment! This one from etsy caught my eye because it looks so comfortable and affordable! Search for Dentz Denim on etsy and watch the goodness unfold......

For beauty i also dont want to let go of that summer glow so judging from the glowing reccommendations (see what i did there) about the Nars sheer glow foundation, it was a must for my wishlist.

Finally i was inspired by Taylor swifts shake it off video to re-embrace the red lips this autmn/winter and yet again ive only been hearing great things about riri woo fom Rihannas collection at mac so i had to give it a little shoutout!

Let me know if you have tried any of these products and whats on your wednesday wishlist?

Cheek to chic: The sleek contour kit

Sorry for the delay with the post this week guys, Ive just started 6th year and its been hectic to say the least! This week i have a review of dare i say it: The holy grail of contouring, The sleek contour kit!
Ive heard nothing but great things about this product so I couldnt help but be sceptical about all the hype. but after trying and testing this product i can definately say its worth it!

This palette comes with all you need to go from cheek to chic:
The perfect matte contour shade
Beautiful Rose gold blush
Glistening slightly golden highlighter

Mix them together and you get magic (have i sold it to you yet? If not look at the before and after below!)

As you can see it makes such a difference plus the product itself is buttery and long-lasting!

August Favourites

So i know im a tad early for August favourites but what can i say i have a lot of love for these products and they were waiting to be shared!
I made some great discoveries in the month of august which apart from the thoughts of the impending torture of school made me happy all month.

First up, Skincare! Now i am a big believer in taking care of the skin your in and this month i wish i was in someone else skin if im honest! My skin has been breaking out A LOT this month and the Mask of Magniminty from  Lush has been an absoloute lifesaver for my skin! This mask of minty goodness makes your skin feels clean and soft and i would definately recommend this lush lovely!

Next up, The key to long lasting makeup! Yes, thats right the urban decay all-nighter makeup setting spray IS worth all of the hype! I dont know what sort of magic potion is inside that bottle but wow does it set your makeup, and sets it well. I have really tried and tested this baby being a bridesmaid of my auntys wedding last month, and it kept my makeup on for the whole 12 hours yes you heard me right, 12 hours!

Next up, Sephora soulmate. A few months ago my aunt in Boston sent me a package of american makeup which i was excited about the say the least!
In that box of beauty was the gem that is the Sephora + Pantone Universe medicated lip balm in the shade radiant orchid! This lip balm is sheer, but can be built up to give this amazing fushia shade which is long waering and looks beautiful on the lips! P.S lets take a moment for the packaging,
am i right ladies?

i mean look at that glossy goodness!?!

Next up is by far my most exciting discovery of the month because all of us beauty gals know how hard it is to get those american drugstore brands like elf and milani in the UK and Ireland so when i spotted a small selection of elf eyeshadow palettes in TK.Maxx the excitement was real let me tell ya! I decided  to go with the little black beautybook: Warm Edition which contains 48 eyeshadows for €6!!! This is a whole new level of bargain beauty! The shadows are suprisngly pigmented and ive swatch a few of my favourites below!

The flash washed out the pigment a bit but look at those colours!

Finally weve come to my fashion favourite! This vintage treasure was featured in my streets of style post and as a statement necklace it really does live up to its name and adds such pastel goodness to any outfit.

Hope you enjoyed reading about these gems!
