New Beginnings

New Beginnings

Well hello there!
Feel free to virtually slap me for the lack of posts in the last two weeks i have been taking a well earned break from the hustle and bustle of life and spending some valuable time with my freinds and family and I hope you did the same! With this new year comes a new reality check and I thought this year Im not going to make any "new years resolutions" that I know wont last very long but rather more attainable constant goals throughout the year. These goals could be studying a certain topic or losing a certain few pounds within a certain timespan. Personally these goals are more realistic then trying to pull the whole "new year, new me" wool over your eyes because lets face it that never works.

In terms of my blog I just want to take a quick sappy moment to thank you guys for welcoming me so warmly into the blogging community I have already met some amazing people and had some amazing experiences and creating my little blog has been one of the highlights of my year and I cant wait to see what 2015 holds!

Happy new year! (throws virtual confetti)
What are your new years goals and what would you like to see from me in 2015?

Irish Blogger Conference

So this past Saturday I attended the Irish blogger conference in the spencer hotel in Dublin. I meant mainly to support my friend Rachel from ohheythererachel but also to promote my own little blog! There was amazing talks from the likes of Joanne Larby from themakeupfairy , Sue Jordan from cherrysue , Leanne woodful from thunderandthreads and of course my favourite ohheythererachel (I'm a tad biased) and many more! The panel was so informative for new bloggers like me and I got to meet some of my favourite bloggers I have read for years. It was truly a great day and I am so proud of Rachel for representing us teen bloggers so well and just generally being inspiring! There was some amazing cupcakes and goodies courtesy of Essence and Catrice basically a girls dream. Thanks to cool events for putting this together and I can't wait for the next one!

Me and Rachel ❤️
Leanne Woodful and I (such a lovely girl)
Me and one of my biggest blogging inspirations Joanne Larby!

Basically it was a great day so get ready for a better blog with all of these new tips I've learned!

Who are your favourite Irish bloggers (apart from me of course ;)?

Brand Focus: Caris Closet

So this weeks post is about a brand close to my heart, Caris Closet. For those of you living under a rock, Caris Closet is a designer dress hire and sales boutique in Malahide, Co Dublin. The owner Lisa Kavanagh works hard to provide all of the most amazing designer deals along with some of her own creations. Her lastest venture is Caris Closet Bridal offering some of the most stunning and well made dresses any girl would lust over for their big day. She is slowly building an empire and it it is amazing to see!

I recently recieved a few bits from their website www.cariscloset.ie and I thought I would show you how i styled them!
So first up is a Cari classic, the H belt . This little gem is conveniently reversable black/brown and I can already tell this will be a staple in my winter wardrobe!

This draped jumper is so warm and versatile and can be war with both dressy and casual tops underneath! Yet again perfect for the winter wardrobe and cosying up by the fire.

Possibly my favourite piece is the leather cuff I recieved, but it was a bit to edgy for this look! I will insert a picture of it never the less! Dont fret it will be featured in an outfit pic very soon!

The rest of the outfit:
Vest top (underneath) - New Look
Jeans - Topshop
Shoes - Marco Tozzi
Raincoat - Vintage
Scarf - Burberry
Bag - Pulse Accessories

What are your favourite pieces from Caris Closet?

American Makeup Haul

So you irish and uk girls will understand my excitement when I recieved a package full of makeup all the way from the US of A! There is no doubt that like everything, America tends to do it bigger and better and makeup is no different! My Aunt was kind enough to send me all of these beautys and i may have squealed a little at the sight of the package!

Firstly I had to get a refill of my Covergirl outlast stay fabulous 3 in 1 foundation (a mouthful i know) because I cannot live without the stuff! It really does what it says on the tin and lasts throughout a long school day which cant be said for a lot of foundations in my book.

Next up is eyes and this mascara immediately cought my eye in the bag of goodies, the packaging is to die for. I have already given this baby a test drive and it isnt called outrageous volume for nothing, It does just that in one coat! The only fault is that it is quite difficult to remove like any other waterproof mascara.

On the theme of eyes this next one isnt a purchase I wouldve made myself but I am so impressed with it! This set of 5 glitter liners from Sephora are really pigmented and would be a great addition to any party look this holiday season! P.S The rose gold one is my particular favourite

Onto my favourite part...the lips! As you know from my favourite fall things tag I have been lusting over the Sephora matte lip creams ever since I tried them and so they were No. 1 on my wishlist. I think my aunt took the lust seriously and went for the luster matte formula instead and I am so glad she did! The luster matte formula is way less drying and the pigmentation is out of this world! As a bonus there is more product in the tube, you cant go wrong really...
Shade: Scarlet

Shade: Mulberry

Finally the perfect nude lipstick was a must! From the rave reviews I knew Milanis lipstick in the shade 26 nude cream was the one for me, and I wasnt dissapointed. The shade is the perfect pinky nude and it is great for everyday.
And the packaging is pretty too...

Hope you enjoyed virtually opening this package with me!

Whats your favourite American makeup products? Anything else I need in my life?

Love Lisa xoxo
